New Zealand Ecology Reviews
Highlighting, celebrating, and debating scientific research on the ecology of the flora and fauna of New Zealand/Aotearoa.

Moderator: Jon Sullivan.

In May 2006, New Zealand Ecology Reviews replaced the New Zealand Hot Science project, which was initiated in 2002 by Alastair Robertson (Massey University). Hot Science aimed to compile and maintain a dynamic list and summary of every important article, book, and book chapter on New Zealand ecology published internationally since 2000.

New Zealand Ecology Reviews includes the articles and aims of Hot Science and adds the ability to comment on and critique posted articles, including articles published in the New Zealand Journal of Ecology and articles published prior to 2000. Any individual member of the Society can become a contributor to New Zealand Ecology Reviews and post their summaries and critiques of articles on New Zealand ecology. Anyone, including non-members, can submit comments on posted articles.

Electronic Resources

The New Zealand Ecological Society is beginning to make web-accessible an assortment of electronic resources from past and present society conferences and workshops. For example, there is a web-only publication edited by Judith Roper-Lindsay on the "Significant Natural Areas" workshop from the 2004 NZES conference held in Invercargill.
